I'm so excited to work with and get to know you and your child this year. I can't wait to learn everything about my students' backgrounds and interests, so here's a few important things about me in case you're curious!
I was born and raised in a small town on the Western Slope, Montrose, before going to CU Boulder to get my education degree. After graduating, I began teaching in Denver. This is my fifth year here and I have loved every minute of being a part of this amazing school community. Lincoln is truly a special place with an incredible staff, and it's a blessing to come to work every day. When I'm not at school, I absolutely love to be outside. This summer, I thru- hiked the Colorado Trail, and enjoyed getting to live out in the mountains of our beautiful state for 5 weeks. I'm a runner, and an avid reader, and a swing dancer, so I have plenty to keep me busy after school hours.
I am so in love with teaching first grade, and I feel lucky that the quote "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life" definitely applies to me. I wake up every morning so excited to go to school, and it is important to me that my kiddos feel the same way. First grade is an incredible year of growth for kids, and I'm so honored to take that journey with them every year.
